
Seasonal Groundskeeper
The view of Pikes Peak is the perfect backdrop to The Nature Place’s beautiful outdoor spaces. The groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the appearance of our lawns, small gardens, paths, and seating areas surrounding our cabins, lodges, parking lots, and conference rooms.

- Keep grounds free from trash, litter, and debris
- Empty trash receptacles as needed
- Water gardens, grass, shrubs, trees
- Weed gardens
- Mow lawns
- Perform some maintenance as needed
- Set up outdoor seating spaces for guests and programming
- Clean gutters
- Paint/Stain buildings, picnic tables, and benches as needed
- Assist in maintaining roads/shoveling snow when necessary
Other Duties
- Assist with emergency situations, grounds-related or otherwise
- Work flexible hours when needed

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications, education, and experience
- High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.
- Experience using manual and power tools safely.
- Excellent work habits including: punctuality, efficient use of time, prioritizing tasks; ability to follow direction.
- All COEC employees must pass a background check
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Ability to work independently and/or with others to maintain and repair facilities
- Applicants must hold a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Applicants must have the ability to work in conditions that will create dirt and dust
Physical Requirements
- Move up to 50 lbs of project material repeatedly and or tools to potentially remote building locations
- Stand on ladders and platforms
- Perform essential maintenance to facility or equipment which may involve, but is not limited to the following activities: reaching overhead, crouching, kneeling, shoveling, working in narrow and or confining spaces (underground, overhead, or at ground level), twisting of the waist, shoulders, and legs, lying on stomach and/or back.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary starting at $15-$18/hr.
